Literacy is the most fundamental skill a person can have. It's how people navigate the world: reading a medicine label, filling out a job application, understanding a traffic sign. Without it, ordinary tasks become barriers, and those barriers compound into a cycle that's very hard to escape. 750 million people are living that reality right now. https://worldliteracyfoundation.org/

The Carnevali Foundation aims to increase literacy rates amongst all its students, noting that female literacy in Telengana is significantly behind that of males. The literacy rate in Telangana – the State in southern India with an estimated population of about 38.5 million, where all our schools are located in the capital city of Hyderabad – is approximately 76.9%.
The recent demographic and labor surveys reveal a continuing gap in educational attainment:
Male Literacy Rate: approximately 82%
Female Literacy Rate: approximately 71.5%
All CF Schools in Hyderabad have Libraries and Librarians to provide a daily library period with great opportunity to select, read, enjoy and learn about a wide range of subjects.
CF is engaged in an active campaign to extend its educational program to adults in the local community. When “MOTHERS CAN READ” the impact is tremendous.
Research clearly shows that the ability to read has a direct link to future opportunities. Here are two link with further information and action on the subject of Literacy.
If you believe in a world where everyone – child or adult – can read, thrive and hope for a better future, please help fund the important work Carnevali Foundation continues to do in India and other countries around the world by MAKING A DONATION.
